2025 Annual Conference

In 2025, ACSLHE will convene its annual conference, February 2-4, on the beautiful campuses of Howard, Georgetown, and American universities in Washington, DC. Join us for an inspiring gathering of university chaplains and spiritual life professionals dedicated to transforming the higher education context by serving the needs of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, faculty, staff, administrators, and local communities.

Experience a rich tapestry of dynamic pre-conference affinity workshops, plenary sessions, workshops, discussions, excursions, an award gala, and the joy of informal connections over meals. Gain fresh perspective and practical insights to foster innovation, spiritual growth, and transformation for our campuses and selves. We will delve deep into the tapestry of spiritual traditions at Howard, Georgetown, and American universities as we explore this from various religious and philosophical traditions.

This conference is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for chaplains from across the country, with diverse backgrounds and faith traditions, to unite while finding rejuvenation in the nation's capital at three distinct campuses.

If you have additional funds and want to provide the chance for someone else to attend please consider donating. The link can be found here. Conference registration fees are non-refundable.

Please note we will not be taking walk up registrations or same day registrations.

You will not be able to substitute another persons registration if a member of your team is not able to come. If this is the case please contact info@acslhe.org to discuss options.

Georgetown University

The Dupont Circle Georgetown University Transit System routes connects the Main Campus with the Dupont Circle Metro Station on the Red Line. The bus runs Monday-Friday from 6:00am to 12:00am. The Dupont Circle stop is located at 20th Street and Massachusetts Avenue, NW. This stop is across the street from the Dupont Hotel. American University

Bus

The N2 WMTA bus is a 23 minute ride from the Dupont Circle Hotel (Bus Stop: P St NW & 18 St NW) to the AU (Bus Stop: New Mexico Ave NW & Nebraska Ave). See it on Google Maps here. Purchase Metro passes here.

Metro and Shuttle

The closest Metrorail station is the Tenleytown-AU stop on the Red line (4 stops away on from Dupont). From the station, you can take the AU shuttle Blue Line that is located on the corner of 40th St. NW and Ablemarle St. NW, in front of the Whole Foods and take it to the Kerwin Hall stop from there it is a 4 minute walk to National United Methodist Church. Parking

On-campus guest parking is available for $2 per hour or $16 per day at the School of International Service (SIS). Parking pay stations can be found in the elevator lobbies. Learn more here. Accessible parking only in the National United Methodist Church lot at 3401 Nebraska Ave NW.

Uber X for 4 people costs $15, Uber XL for 6 people is $20.

The Dupont Circle Hotel

A block of rooms is reserved with a conference rate of $209/night

Rate is valid until block is filled and will expire on January 13, 2025. We suggest booking as soon as possible. Reserve your room at the conference rate.

Our room rate begins 3 days before and ends 3 days after if you want to extend your trip and maximize your time.

Hotels, Airports, and More

The Dupont Hotel is the ideal location to reserve a room and offers the most accessible access to all three campuses. To save money, consider staying with another ACSLHE member or finding alternative housing arrangements. If you are without a vehicle, the Dupont Circle Metro Station on the Red Line is within walking distance from the hotel.
