    Student Ministries Pastor

    The Department of College Ministries at Messiah College currently has a full-time opening for the position of Student Ministries Pastor. Work dates for this position are August 1 – May 31 annually.

    Responsibilities: The position of Student Ministries Pastor assists in providing pastoral leadership for the campus, including preaching, discipleship, and pastoral counseling. The Student Ministries Pastor supervises the student ministries leadership network, providing peer-led chapel and discipleship ministries to campus.

    Qualifications: Master's degree in theology, religion, biblical studies, or a ministry related field; 4 years' experience in ministry and related administrative duties required. College or young adult ministry experience preferred.

    Skills and Characteristics: Skills and experience in various expressions of ministry - preaching, discipleship, evangelism, missions, pastoral counseling; strong communication skills - the ability and desire to connect and develop relationships with students; strong administrative and collaborative skills - supervising various student groups and involving students in leadership and reflective growth; demonstrated ability to articulate a biblical vision of racial reconciliation and to contribute to the advancement of Messiah College's mission of training reconcilers for church and society; cultural intelligence - the capability or skill to function effectively in any multicultural setting.
