University Chaplain
The University of Jamestown, Jamestown, N.D., seeks applicants for a full-time (10-month) Chaplain to begin in the fall of 2021. The Chaplain will report to the President and will serve to meet the spiritual needs of the University community as well as be an educational resource for the University’s programs and departments. The Chaplain will oversee worship, servant leadership and vocational discernment, and must be committed to working closely with a diverse student body. He/she will co- direct the University Foundations program and serve as a liaison to area churches. He/she will work collaboratively with the Vice President of Student Affairs to create programming that inspires spiritual growth and opportunity for students, staff and faculty.
Requirements: Practicing Christian, Master of Divinity, ordination, three to five years of related experience, and the ability to use contemporary communication methods used by students. Preference given to candidates from the Reformed tradition, but all qualified candidates will be considered. A complete job description is available at www.uj.edu/employment.
