Advocate Health seeks a strategic, dynamic, and distinguished executive to serve as its next Group Vice President/Region Chief Mission & Spiritual Care. Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit, integrated health system in the United States, is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. Advocate Health Care, a part of Advocate Health, is the largest health system in Illinois and a national leader in clinical innovation, health outcomes, consumer experience, and value-based care. One of the state's largest private employers, the system serves patients across 11 hospital locations, including two children's campuses and more than 250 care sites. Reporting directly to the President of Advocate Health Care, the Group Vice President/Region Chief Mission & Spiritual Care Officer will provide consultation, assistance, support, and monitoring to ensure that the mission, values, and philosophy of Advocate Health are integrated into the system's operations and decision-making processes.
Based in Chicago or Milwaukee, the new Group Vice President/Region Chief Mission & Spiritual Care Officer will provide management direction and oversight to the Religion and Health function at Advocate and guidance in addressing ethical responses to complex health care situations and issues. We seek a mission leader with significant knowledge and understanding of theology, spirituality, and religious community leadership. This experience would likely be gained through ten years of senior-level religion and mission effectiveness experience, with at least five years in a healthcare system mission effectiveness position. Candidates will be master's prepared and ordained by a recognized denomination.
