      About the Office of Academic Resources (OAR)

      The OAR provides curricular support to strengthen student learning, persistence, and scholarship through reciprocal learning and reflection activities, while building an inclusive community of care and empowerment. The OAR is a center where knowledge is generated for transformative purposes, both at individual and institutional levels. 

       

      About the Position
      The OAR’s small staff seek to make a big impact at Haverford and in the field of learning support across higher education. We seek to push the boundaries of knowledge generation for transformative change at the institutional level and seek opportunities to share across the field. The Program Coordinator works directly with the OAR director and assistant director to create a more data-informed infrastructure and meet the data and assessment needs of both internal and external constituencies. 

       

      Primary Responsibilities

      OAR Data Collection & Management and Divisional Student Success Initiatives (70%):

    • ·       Collect, store, and manage data in support of OAR initiatives, such as, but not limited to, the academic coaching and peer tutoring program, OAR sponsored events, programs, and strategic collaborations
    • ·       Create, develop, and manage various data visualizations and reports in order to support data-informed decision making and program planning
    • ·       Leverage expertise in a variety of tools and applications to maintain and manage office and organizational data
    • ·       Research, compile, and extract information from a number of source systems and documents to manage and maintain data
    • ·       Provide tactical support for assessing and evaluating the OARs effectiveness, particularly within the office’s impact on individual student success in adherence with the college’s mission and goals
    • ·       Provide tactical support for departmental assessment plans, and institutional advancement reporting
    • ·       Provide technical expertise in a support/consultative capacity; extract and communicate key information to the OAR Director, Dean’s Office leadership, stakeholders across the institution for improved reporting, and data-informed decision making
    • Program Coordination (30%):

    • ·       Manage and forecast OAR budget; provide analysis of expenditures in relation to the goals of the office; track office expenses, verify purchases, develop monthly budget report, and reconcile student staff payroll
    • ·       Provide program support of peer/professional academic coaching and tutoring programs, including, but not limited to, assistance with hiring and organization of student files, application and onboarding materials, scheduling logistics, and maintenance of our scheduling database and timesheet verification
    • ·       Provide assistance and oversight of program outreach, such as newsletters, website maintenance, social media posts, and planning and facilitation of events
    • ·       Provide support to OAR internship program including, but not limited to, support of student project management, assistance with leveraging technology to enhance projects, and support and expertise in intern research endeavors
    • ·       Research best practices among peer institutions and programs for programmatic planning and development
    • ·       Serve as liaison between OAR staff and IT support needs, including maintenance of technology and purchase requests

      Line of Report: The Program Coordinator reports to Director of the Office of Academic Resources.

      Preferred Qualifications

    • ·       Data visualization/BI platform (Tableau) and/or survey design and administration platform (i.e., Qualtrics) 
    • ·       Experience using social and mobile applications to promote services/engage constituents
