Our associate chaplain/ rabbi at Middlebury is taking a year in Israel with her family and so we are hiring a one-year (10 month) interim, full-time position to fill that role.

Middlebury College is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time, one-year interim Associate Chaplain/ Rabbi in the Charles P. Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life while our regular chaplain takes an enrichment year with her family in Israel. This full-time, interim appointment will serve, ideally, from late July, 2022 through May of 2023 as a member of the multi-faith team of chaplain colleagues at Middlebury. The interim Associate Chaplain/ Rabbi serves the particular religious needs of the Jewish community on campus while being visibly engaged in the whole life of the College, including its campus-wide celebrations, its gatherings in times of crisis, and its deliberations and discernments in the ongoing life of a highly diverse, intellectually vibrant community.
Desirable applicants will have completed rabbinical training from accredited rabbinical school or college and will have a membership in a rabbinical association. A position announcement is attached with more information.
